Vancouver pianist and vocalist Jen Lewin began her professional career in 2001, and has had the privilege of playing in hundreds of rooms, from intimate venues to spacious theatres, for thousands of happy people over this time. Well-versed in styles ranging from jazz to pop to top 40 to rock and even including country and Afro-beat styles, Jen enjoys the novelty that every gig, every band, and every night offers.
Besides her solo/duo/trio work as a frontperson, you may have heard Jen playing keyboards with Nearly Neil and the Solitary Band, all-star band Deep Cutzzz, Vancouver vocalist Mike Henry with his Ray Charles tribute shows or his funk band Funkdalicious. Jen has also had the pleasure of performing with The Phonix, Vancouver’s fierce but friendly all-female trio Snapdragon, yacht rock project extraordinaire Aimée A-Yacht and the Smooth Sailors, crooner Tony Barton and his exciting stage shows Blue Eyes Too and Jingle, y’allternative/indie band Rollaway, or even performing her own original neo-soul/R&B with her own band, Stronger Than Lions, among others.
Jen started out her career performing with a number of bands in the cruise industry, and has since played venues including small high-end lounges (Atlas Steakhouse, Gotham Steakhouse, Fairmont Pacific Rim, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, Fairmont Chateau Whistler), casinos (River Rock, Starlight, and Grand Villa casinos), theatres (Anvil Centre and Massey Theatre in New Westminster, Avalon Ballroom at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls), clubs (Railway Club, Vernon Jazz Club, Backstage Lounge), and countless other venues for intimate house parties, weddings, and other corporate events and parties.
An energetic, experienced, and professional performer, Jen Lewin is sensitive to the needs of every room or event, whether the occasion calls for soothing background music or a party with everyone gathered around the piano, belting out 80s favourites.
